sonenta-surface

Surface configuration advisor. Decides which translation surfaces a project should have.

Setting up responsive (device) variants or accessibility surfaces, or auditing what's enabled.

  • A reviewed surface configuration: device surfaces (desktop, mobile, tablet, plus custom ones like watch / tv / kiosk) and a11y surfaces (aria_label, alt_text, screen_reader, plain_language).
  • Recommendations on which to enable, derived from your key types + accessibility gaps.
  • It applies the config (enable / disable / rename / add) at 0 credits, non-destructively (confirms before changes).

It configures surfaces only - filling the actual a11y values is handed off to sonenta-a11y.

Active surfaces and surface coverage reflect the configuration; the values themselves are filled and reviewed via the a11y flow.

Using sonenta-surface, audit my surface configuration and report gaps.

Which a11y surfaces should I enable for this project?

Add a custom "watch" device surface.

Configure the surfaces, then hand off to sonenta-a11y to fill them.
