Terms of Service
Last updated: June 9, 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of the Sonenta website, application and APIs. By creating an account or using Sonenta, you agree to these terms.
The service
Sonenta is a localization/i18n platform: you manage translation keys and strings, translate them (including with AI assistance and human review), and deliver them to your apps via a CDN and SDKs. Features and limits depend on your plan.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may sign in with email or via Google/GitHub OAuth.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: no unlawful or infringing content, no attempts to breach security, reverse-engineer, or overload the platform, and no use that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you upload (keys, strings, translations, glossaries). You grant Sonenta the limited license needed to host, process, translate and deliver that content solely to provide the service to you.
Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe, which acts as Merchant of Record; applicable taxes are calculated and handled at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes apply to the next billing cycle.
Refunds
Except where required by law, monthly fees are non-refundable once the billing period has started. For annual plans, refunds (if any) are handled at our reasonable discretion. You can cancel at any time to stop future charges.
Cancellation & termination
You may cancel at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or the law. On termination you can export your data for a reasonable period.
Intellectual property
Sonenta and its software, design and trademarks are owned by us. These terms grant you a right to use the service, not ownership of it.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sonenta is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada, and applicable federal laws of Canada. The courts of New Brunswick have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your jurisdiction.
